Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, according to city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
