Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
